History

Khmelnytsky Retraining and Social Adaptation Center named after M.P. Voynarenko (KRSAC), as a structural unit of Khmelnytskyi National University, has been working in the field of social adaptation of servicemen for over 20 years. The center’s activities have been funded by international organizations since its foundation (July 1997) until today.

The stages of KRSAC international cooperation in the non-military sphere

 

The period of cooperation 1997-2002:

Khmelnytskyi Retraining and Resettlement Center (Khmelnytskyi RRC) of the Podillya Technological University).

Program:

TACIS Program of the European Union (project “Support of retraining and employment of former officers in Ukraine”).

Achievements:

1985 people were retrained

608 former servicemen and members of their families were employed.

More than 10 university teachers were retrained under this program abroad (Germany, Italy, Belgium, France).

Period of cooperation 2003-2005:

Khmelnytsky Ukrainian-British Retraining and Resettlement Center (Khmelnytskiy UBRRC).

 

Program:

 

Ukrainian-British retraining and employment program (UK Department of Defense).

Achievements:

318 people were retrained,

246 people were employed.

4 employees of the center underwent an internship at the Manchester School of Business.

Cooperation period 2005:

Khmelnytsky Ukrainian-British Retraining and Resettlement Center (Khmelnytsky UBRRC).

OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine.

Achievements:

60 people were retrained,

47 people were employed.

Period of cooperation 2006-2009:

Period of cooperation 2009-2013:

prolongation of the NATO’s Partnership for Peace Trust Fund – Khmelnytsky Retraining and Social Adaptation Center and its expansion in Kharkiv

Program:

NATO’s Partnership for Peace Trust.

Achievements:

2129 people were retrained,

employed 1139

– “Radio, Broadcast and Television Equipment”.

Period of cooperation 2007-2020:

Khmelnytsky Center for Retraining and Social Adaptation ( Khmelnytsky CRSA).

NATO’s civilian budget. NATO-Ukraine Military Retraining Program.

Achievements of 2007-2011:

232 people were retrained

Areas of retraining:

Achievements of 2012-2017:

536 people were retrained

392 people were retrained
